In this role, you will join an international team developing digital products and technology platforms for the healthcare industry. You will play a key role in ensuring that our systems, applications, and data processing workflows are designed with privacy by design and privacy by default at their core, enabling compliant, secure, and future-proof solutions.

As a Technical Data Privacy Engineer, you will work closely with engineering, product, security, legal, and quality teams to embed privacy into technology from the earliest design stages through deployment and maintenance.

As a Technical Data Privacy Engineer, you will help translate complex privacy regulations into practical technical solutions while enabling engineering teams to build secure and compliant products.

Other responsibilities would include:

• Drive the implementation of privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles throughout the entire product development lifecycle
• Develop technical frameworks, standards, design patterns, and guidelines that ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, EU Data Act, EU AI Act, and other applicable regulations
• Build and maintain privacy engineering solutions, including encryption, pseudonymization, data minimization, access governance, and secure data storage and transfer
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical designs and system requirements
• Lead technical privacy impact assessments, identify risks, and define appropriate mitigation measures
• Mentor engineering teams on privacy-preserving architectures, secure design principles, and best practices
• Monitor emerging privacy regulations and industry standards, proactively identifying future requirements for products and technology platforms
• Support audits, compliance assessments, and regulatory inquiries as thetechnical privacy expert
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, Quality, Engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of privacy requirements

We are looking for a person with the followingexperience:

• Proven experience in a role such as Privacy Engineer,Privacy Architect, Privacy-by-Design Architect, Technical Privacy Lead, or asimilar position
• Hands-on experience implementing privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles in software systems or cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of GDPR technical requirements, including data minimization, purpose limitation, security of processing, data lifecycle management, and data subject rights
• Experience working with system architecture, cloud platforms, andprivacy-enhancing technologies (PETs)
• Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001,SOC 2, or similar standards
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical privacy topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required

Nice to have

• Experience with consent management, auditability, and datasubject rights tooling
• Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM, CDPSE, CISSP, CDPO,or equivalent
• Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, medicaldevices, or life sciences
• Knowledge of emerging regulations, including the EU AI Act and EU Data Act
